Athens

We arrived in Athens yesterday morning and walked and walked around the city. Ate wonderful greek food, a man who was passing us in the street said hello and asked if we were looking for traditional greek food to eat. He recommend a quiet place around a corner! The greeks are very nice people! This morning we were up before the sun, we walked all around the Acropolis ( they light it up at night, so it was still shining until the sun came up), we ended our morning journey with a walk in the National Gardens - got a little lost, but eventually found our way out. We are getting ready to board our ship soon!

As a side note - I have to ask someone about the dogs in Athens. They don't seem to have owners, some are alone, others in packs and they all wear collars and look well fed. I am curious about their stories. Two ran up to us on our walk, I assume looking for food. They followed us for a while and then joined another pack of dogs. I felt like we had Rocky with us, but without a leash! Hmm! I just wonder about them!

  1. When I was in Greece we had a dog follow us for almost an hour. They just do that. Maybe they go home at night?

How come you thought you had Rocky, but not Ozzy?
